This
home is great for families or those wanting romantic getaways.
With hardwood floors, views of the blue Pacific Ocean and
Santa Catalina Island, the house is half a block from the
steps to the beach and the trolley/bus stop. This home makes
the perfect spot to relax, live the California beach and golf
lifestyle. A great base for day trips!
The master
bedroom features hardwood floors, a plush king bed and an
attached bath, while the other bath is adjacent to the other
bedrooms and the hallway. The second bedroom has carpeting,
extra long twin beds, while the third bedroom features a lovely
slate floor, and a twin daybed with a twin pop-up trundle.
This room also serves as a reading or TV room. We have two
portable bed pads (4" thick - surprisingly comfortable!)
that add space for two more.
The kitchen
has everything you'll need, even spices. Both gas and charcoal
grills sit just outside the kitchen door. There is a large
window-like pass through that allows the cook to be included
in the conversations and activities in the dining and living
areas. With two furnished patios, one with full ocean view,
relaxing and dining al fresco are commonplace.
The house
is stocked with vacation ease in mind - in addition to abundant
linens, magazines and books, sand chairs and beach towels,
boogie boards and beach umbrellas, cooler, sand toys, children's
books & toys are all there - go ahead, pack lightly! There's
broadband internet for those who would like to stay connected
- bring your laptop!
Families
will appreciate that the house comes with 2 high chairs, a
child gate and 2 portable cribs, and that the patio out the
front door is gated allowing for contained children's play.
There's even a great park one block south!
The one
car garage has washer, dryer and an automatic garage door
opener, plus spaces for two more cars in the driveway. Two
additional parking spaces in front of the house can be blocked
for our guests' use. To avoid scarcity & high expense
of parking in the Village and beaches, public transportation
is easy thanks to the free summer Trolley and local buses.
The Trolley and bus stops are a super-convenient half block
away.
In walking
distance of restaurants and convenience stores, it's easy
to get to the many fine restaurants, Laguna's infamous varied
beaches, art galleries, shops and art festivals - Laguna provides
exploring at its best!
Challenging
golf is just around the corner. Less than a mile in each direction
are two courses - the hidden, lush locals' nine hole course
at Aliso Creek, and the world-class course of the Monarch
Beach Golf Links, adjacent to the St Regis Resort. Designed
by Robert Trent, Jr. this course has been the host to many
nationally-televised events and is situated on lovely ocean
front and ocean view property. Truly a spectacular day of
golf awaits you!
Located
a half hour from John Wayne Airport, one and a half hours
from LAX, one hour from San Diego' Lindburgh airport, the
house makes a convenient house to reach. A central base for
day trips, it is 45 minutes south of Disneyland, and one hour
north of the wonderful San Diego area, including attractions
such as Sea World, San Diego Zoo and Legoland. The sights,
sounds and flavors of Mexico lie just over the border. In
addition, the house is one and a half hours south of the sights
and cultural gems in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, making
Laguna the ideal Southern California location!
If shopping
is your thing, the renowned South Coast Plaza and Newport
Fashion Island offer high-end boutiques and world-known designer
shops. If spending days being pampered is of interest, there
are fabulous spas very close by at the Montage Resort and
Spa, St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort and Spa, and the Ritz-Carlton
Laguna Niguel. There are also a number of very lovely day
spas in Laguna that we also recommend.
Laguna
has been our favorite place since our own childhoods. We have
a book of information and locals' tips about the restaurants
and area attractions, and would be happy to share with you
our knowledge and love of the area.
